In To the river the small river de Berkel plays the big part. This small river originates in Germany and flows through the east of Holland all the way to the point where it connects with the river IJssel.

In Naar de rivier heeft de kleine rivier de Berkel de hoofdrol. Deze rivier ontspringt in Duitsland, slingert door de Gelderse achterhoek en stroomt uit in de IJssel bij Zutphen.
